Spencer-Sharples Corners
Centered at the intersection of Angola and Irwin Roads, this zone is the designated “Town Center.” It houses the township’s highest density of residents (Oak Terrace) and critical civic assets including the Neighborhood Center and Lucas County Health Clinic. The strategy here shifts from industrial growth to neighborhood stabilization and quality of life.

The “Main Street” Overlay
We are implementing a Corridor Overlay District for Angola Road. This zoning tool is designed to attract neighborhood-scale commercial services—grocery, medical office, and professional services—that are currently missing. The overlay prioritizes facade improvements and prohibits high-impact industrial uses that conflict with residential peace.

Closing the Connectivity Gap
Residents currently face significant gaps in sidewalk infrastructure between the Oak Terrace neighborhood and the Neighborhood Center. We are aggressively pursuing “Safe Routes to School” and ODOT TAP grants to construct a complete sidewalk loop and install pedestrian-scale lighting to connect these civic hubs.
